About the Jubilee

NorthBay Healthcare Foundation’s Solano Wine & Food Jubilee has become Solano County’s premiere fund-raising event, held every April to support the programs and services of NorthBay Hospice & Bereavement. Funds raised at the event help make possible an array of vital programs, including hospice care, bereavement support groups and community outreach.

But, the event had modest beginnings. Solano Wine and Food Jubilee

Shortly after NorthBay Healthcare established its Hospice & Bereavement program in 1987, a group of area citizens decided it was exactly the kind of non-profit program they wanted to support. These citizens organized the very first Solano Wine & Food Jubilee in 1988. Held in the social hall of a Fairfield church, the first Jubilee was a wine and cheese party for about 300 people. That night, about $2,000 was raised.

Through the years, the Solano Wine & Food Jubilee has grown exponentially. It has become a perennially sold-out affair and has been held in an array of venues – under a tent in Lagoon Valley, on the Jelly Belly factory floor, at the Vacaville Skating Center, in shopping center parking lots and even in a C5 hangar at Travis Air Force Base. For the past several years, it has been held under a huge tent at the iconic Nut Tree Complex in Vacaville.

Organizers promise Solano County’s silver event will exceed all expectations.
