About our Sponsors
Every year, several area organizations and individuals step forward to support the Solano Wine & Food Jubilee by agreeing to serve as sponsors. Their generous contributions go a long way toward helping fund the programs of NorthBay Hospice & Bereavement. Leading the way this year at the Presenting Sponsor level ($20,000 or more) are Sacca Family's Burger King Restaurants, Al and Patt Shaw, Freeman Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, The Nut Tree, Gold’s Gym and Iron Steed Harley Davidson. Other levels include Patron ($10,000), Major ($5,000), Supporting ($2,500) and Associate ($1,000).
Presenting Sponsors
Sacca Corporation Burger King Restaurants
Sacca Corporation owns and operates many Burger King restaurants in the area, including two in Vacaville. Sacca family member and restaurant manager Tina Benedict, says the family feels it’s important to be a presenting sponsor of the Solano Wine & Food Jubilee, and has been a generous supporter of many NorthBay Healthcare programs for a number of years.
"Living in the city of Vacaville for more than 30 years, we've known many in our community who've benefitted from the care provided by NorthBay Hospice,” Benedict says. “I feel that if we are going to make a difference in our community as a family, we need to support VacaValley Hospital and NorthBay Medical Center, as well as the programs they provide." In addition to the family's sponsorship, Benedict serves on the NorthBay Healthcare Foundation Board. She also chairs the Jubilee entertainment committee.
Al and Patt Shaw
"We are proud to assist organizations such as NorthBay Hospice & Bereavement in the important work they do," note long-time Jubilee supporters Al and Patt Shaw. In addition to the Shaw’s strong support of the Wine & Food Jubilee and Open That Bottle Night, Al has served for a number of years on the NorthBay Healthcare Foundation Board.
Freeman Family & Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. Lee Freeman, DDS graduated from University of the Pacific in San Francisco in 1979 and, under the auspices of Freeman Family & Cosmetic Dentistry in Fairfield, has spent more than 30 years helping thousands of people improve their smiles. His dental practice provides comprehensive treatment planning options, preventative hygiene, and uses the most advanced technology for restorative and cosmetic dentistry to achieve optimal dental health for his patients.
Dr. Freeman has been a loyal supporter of the Solano Wine & Food Jubilee for a number of years, but in 2009 chose to elevate his level of support to the Presenting Level, because he feels it's important for those who can, to step forward and assure the Jubilee can continue its fund-raising efforts. "As dentists, we are caregivers for our patients, but what the people associated with NorthBay Hospice do for their patients takes care to a whole other level. I worked with two dental assistants who benefitted significantly from the care of hospice, and so I feel somewhat emotionally connected to hospice because of that. The Jubilee is a good cause, and people enjoy it immensely."
The Nut Tree
The Nut Tree was California's first major stop for travelers drawn by its eclectic mix of California cuisine, packaged dried fruits and retail offerings. From a tiny fruit stand, the Nut Tree evolved into the quintessential American success story, and became a California icon for generations of travelers. Today the Nut Tree is much more than a traveler's destination – it is also the destination for the Solano Wine & Food Jubilee.
The new Nut Tree, which re-opened in 2006, is a 333,000-square-foot contemporary, open-air retail, restaurant and office project that preserves the magnetism, as well as a bit of the nostalgia, that is reminiscent of the original Nut Tree dining and family-friendly attractions.
“We’re pleased to play a small part in the success of the Solano Wine & Food Jubilee. We could not be happier they have chosen us again this year as a venue to host this worthwhile event,” added Margo Foster, general manager.
Gold's Gym - Vacaville CA
Gold's Gym family fitness is located at 201 Main St. in downtown Vacaville and is locally owned and operated. The owners and staff are dedicated to providing the finest fitness experience possible for area residents. As personal health is at the heart of Gold's Gym, it is no surprise that the owners are committed to programs supporting health, fitness and related education in the Vacaville/Fairfield area. Rick Martindale, Gold's Gym owner and managing partner, states, "We believe that the bereavement programs offered by NorthBay Hospice are among the most important that this community has to offer. My parents were beneficiaries of NorthBay Hospice services and I am simply grateful that it was available to them. We are proud to be one of the regular sponsors of this exceptional community resource.”
Iron Steed Harley Davidson
Iron Steed Harley Davidson is a local Napa/Solano one-stop riding shop, committed to keeping riders on the road.
